Lauri's ESL Site- a great website created by Lauri Fried-Lee from the City College of San Francisco an ESL teacher with 35 years of experience. Her website contains a wealth of ESL resources and most all of them work great on the SMART Board interactive whiteboard.
Eco Zoo- 3-D virtual zoo with interesting animals and amazing graphics- including some fun pop-up books to read The site states: "If you take a close look at the animals there⦠you might be able to get some tips to live in a more environmentally friendly way." Just click (or touch) and drag your way through the zoo and click on the animals you find to learn more about them.
Cool Food- a kid-friendly website about nutrition, exercise, and general health and provides easy-to-read lists of things they can do to take care of their health.
LitCharts- a service that provides condensed outlines and summaries of classic literature. they color code the themes addressed and symbolism within a particular work. The color coding makes it easy to quickly pick out the themes and symbols in each chapter of a book.
LitCharts can be viewed online, downloaded as PDFs, or accessed through iPhone apps.
Whyzz- a website designed for the parents of three to eight year old children that are going through the "why" phase. Whyzz gives clear simple answers to the "why"questions like "why is is dark at night?" that children ask frequently.
Supalogo- a quick and easy way to design banners for wikis, SMART Notebook lessons, etc.
